Materials: Course book, whiteboard, projection, Audio CD, muppets.

Methods and techniques: Communicative approach, audio lingual method, games.

SKILLS & OUTCOMES

1.    By the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand and use simple expressions about greeting and meeting someone.
2.    By the end of the lesson, students will be able to ask questions to find out how they are doing.
3.    By the end of the lesson, students will be able to introduce themselves in a simple way.

ACTIVITIES:

1. The teacher greets the class first. The teacher gets the students to sing the song they've learned before about the topic as a warm up activity. As the next step, the teacher wants the students to open the page 35 in their course books. He wants them to make puppets and a dialogue by them. The students take out their materials and make their puppets. After the students make their puppets, they make a dialogue as a pair.

2. On page 36, the teacher wants the students to look at the pictures and circle the correct words.

    P1: Good morning / night                       P3: Good night / morning

    P2: Good night / afternoon

On page 37, the students look at the pictures and match them with the sentences.
P1: Hi! I'm Tom. P2: Hi! I'm Tweety. P3: Hello! My name is Garfield. P4: Hello! My name is Cinderella
On page 38 , the teacher wants them to match the speech bubbles.
Answer:
1.What's your name? ....My name is Candy....
2. How are you?           ....Fine,thank you....
3.Hello!                          ....Hi! .......

3. On the next page, students are going to circle the words and write the extra letters into letter boxes and circle the correct picture according to the extra word.
4. Finally, the teacher& the students play a game together and revise the subject.
